The rooms and the people
No, complaints. The rooms were clean and intestingly located by Garibaldi Station. This made it convienent to go to other areas. But, the streets lines with idol people and venders made it seem a little uncomfortable if you had never been to Napoli.
This hotel was great - the rooms were clean, the location was very convenient (both for seeing the city and for getting to the train station to go elsewhere) and, most importantly, the staff were fantastic. Gabriele (who looks after the place) and his parents are lovely people who make an effort to help you feel at home. Do not be put off by the front door! This is a real gem - recommended.
I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the sweet sleep b&b! My room was air conditioned with great wifi connection, a tv,, a little refrigerator and a small balcony. It was a very short walk from the train station and altho it's probably not the best neighborhood in naples it was easy to walk all over the city from here. The best part was the helpfulness and positive attitude of gabriele, and the incredible pastries that his mother made every morning for breakfast. It was the best breakfast i've ever had at a b&b in europe!
A real diamond hidden right in the center of the city in a great location for travelers wishing to explore all of Naples' and its surroundings. 1 minute from Piazza Garibaldi, from where you can easily walk or take a bus to the city itself or take a train to Pompeii, Amalfi, wherever it is you dream to go. The rooms are exceptionally beautifully designed, spacious and have all the facilities, the cleanliness is perfect. The Internet or Wi-fi are always available. The level of comfort makes you feel at home and not in a hotel. The family who run it will take loving care of you and you'll never wish to leave. The breakfast is cooked by the mother and is really delicious (beware of getting fatter:)) Great value for money! I was astonished and delighted to have found this jewel of a hotel and I'm sure to come back.
after an Ordeal on arrival from being hit by the scooter bandits . The staff went out of there way to ensure that we were fairly delt with byu the police then when that was taken care of ensured we were well feed and took us on a tour of Napoles by night as by this time it was around midnight. We will be for ever grateful for there concern and hospitality in enabled us to enjoy this eogmatic city with so much to see and feel
The entrance way was at first a bit off putting
The hotel is very city and the best for city-traveller, nearby the railway- station and near the old town. The staff is more than friedly and helpful, very familar, homemade products at breakfast and very very kind! I love this hotel. At that time there are workings on the terrasse, but not for a long time. After that this is a wonderful place with a good view.I Will stay in the future in this hotel in naples. Thank you!
Reviews from other visitors mention the cakes for breakfast, and yes, they were excellent. The family who run the bed and breakfast take a lot of care to help guests find their way around, and being right at the edge of the old town, it's easy to return to your room to doze in the hot afternoon. The room was simply furnished, all practical and clean. While I was there, they were making improvements to the sun terrace, with plans for a sauna. Tiles were being laid, and builders were mixing cement at breakfast. This was managed with minimal disturbance for guests, and it should be great when it's finished. Some reviewers are concerned about security in the streets below. So the nervous (and young families) might prefer to avoid. But for most people who don't do anything stupid, there shouldn't be a problem, and the chaos on Neapolitan streets should be part of what you're there to see. Relax and live with it.
Not much. The WiFi signal wasn't strong enough to use in the room. Naples in general doesn't seem to have adopted it yet, so I did without, but you could try the bars in the University area. The management don't speak English, which was a good test for my basic Italian. I'm happy with that, but not everyone will be.
The hosts are very nice~ the rooms are very clean and comfortable~!!!
Wonderful terrace with a view over the rooftops. Bring yourself a bottle of wine and sit there in the evening, nice! Owner very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast with homemade cake, juice and fruit.
Helpful staff, good amenities, very good rooms (renovations going on to upgrade the property).
Location close to train station might not please everyone, but it is convenient for transportation.
The room was was bright, clean and fresh. It seemed to have been recently renovated. The bed was comfortable as well so we could indeed have a sweet sleep. The location is nice and close to the train station which was perfect as we just spent one overnight during transit.
Clean newly renovated rooms with A\C and shower. Good breakfast - very nice view from the terrase. Best hotel for travelling from Napoli to Pompei/Sorrento - very close to the train station.
This city district is where poor people live so you would better not go for a walk at night. But we have no problems at all even getting home late night. (You just see some prostitues waiting for clients and some afro-italians waiting for something :)) For sure this hotel is not for staying with children.
This was our first hotel in Napoli. We took the Alibus fron the airport to Piazza Garibaldi and Sweet Sleep was somewhat hard to locate. Even asking in Italian no one seemed to know. I finally located it and found it to be to the left of the big red agro sign. There is a small sign by a small door. Take the lift to the 6th floor which costs 10 cents. The manager Rino only speaks Italian and a little English. The rooms are newly remodeled, very clean and bright. There is an air conditioner with the room and you will need this because the hotel is on a very busy and noisy street. It is quiet with the balcony door closed. Breakfast is elaborate on the roof terrazza with a selection of pastry, juice, yogurt and coffee. The internet is free. He likes to be paid in cash. Around the corner is Mimi's Restaurant where you can get excellent Italian food albeit pricey. The hotel is very convenient to central station. The neighborhood will keep you a bit guarded but we walked around at night on the main streets and didn't feel threatened. It is an easy walk to the major historic sites on Via Tribunali and Spaccanapoli. Overall it is a good place to stay for the price.
Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to give us information about Naples and help in any way they could. We would definatey come again. Great value for money.
Very clean, good breakfast, very nice hotel staff, little kitchen in our room was just perfect to save some more money, next to central train station.
